The rules of the record.
The Record is a free public prediction journal: you seal a call, share the receipt, and the record remembers whether you were right. Short version: it’s free, points are play-money, seals are public, and accuracy is the only currency.
1 · The service
The Record (vigfi.com) is operated by VigFi. It is free to use. It is not gambling, not a betting service, not a market, and not investment advice — there are no wagers, no odds offered by us, no cash prizes, and nothing to buy.
2 · Your account
You must be 16 or older. Sign in with an email address or an X account; one person, one account. You are responsible for what you publish under your handle. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, manipulate the consensus, or violate these terms.
3 · Seals are public and immutable
Predictions, forecasts, rationales and comments are public records, published with your handle and a timestamp. A sealed call’s criteria cannot be edited — by anyone, including us (see how the record proves itself). An author may unseal (delete) their own call within 10 minutes of sealing, if nobody else has forecast it. Resolved records stay published: a record that forgets is not a record.
4 · Points are play-money
Points are free (1,000 on registration), have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or redeemed, and never affect the consensus. Optional stakes settle parimutuel — winners split the losers’ staked points pro-rata; there is no house cut. We may correct balances affected by bugs or abuse; every correction is a visible ledger row.
5 · Content rules
No predictions about private individuals. For named public figures or companies: no calls imputing crime, insolvency, dismissal, misconduct or disgrace unless formal public proceedings are already underway. No death or health calls. Financial calls are limited to major indices, FX pairs and large-cap crypto. New seals pass an automated screen (pass / hold for review / block); if we remove content you will receive a short statement of reasons, and complaints sent to the contact below are reviewed within 48 hours.
6 · The X connection
Connecting an X account is optional. We post to your X account only when you press “Post to X”, never automatically. Disconnect any time on your account page (we delete the tokens) or revoke the app at x.com.
7 · No advice, no warranties
Forecasts and the consensus are user opinions, not advice of any kind. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties; to the extent permitted by law our liability is limited to what you paid us — which is nothing.
